  • CFO coaching is practical and focused on business leadership. It pushes you beyond technical expertise or being the head of accounting/finance. While designed for CFOs and aspiring CFOs, most of the challenges we address - executive presence, influence, and strategy, are relevant for any ambitious business leader.

  • First-time CFOs often struggle to step out of the weeds and show up as Business Leaders. The technical skills that earned the promotion can quickly become less relevant or even hold them back. Moving from management to the executive team requires strategy, big-picture thinking, forward focus, and the ability to promote the organization. The details and numbers are now tools, not the job itself.

  • Communication is the most critical skill across the executive team. Finance Leaders must ensure financial strategy is understood and aligned with business goals. Beyond communication, curiosity and adaptability are essential. The best CFOs today will connect financial insight with decision-making, helping the organization move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Shift your focus from costs, risks, and compliance to growth, revenue, and strategy. Compliance and risk management matter, but executives and boards value Finance Leaders who drive opportunity as well as protection. A balanced perspective is what transforms a CFO into a true strategic partner.

  • Yes. We are happy to invoice you directly or your company. The terms & conditions do not adjust.

  • If you arrive with an open mind and a willingness to learn and try new things, you will see a difference. If you take the actions, you’ll get results.

Investing yourself will make you different than many others in your position. However, it will be a significant investment, in terms of time, money, and heart.

  • Where possible we will defer your discovery call and not accept payment when we are waitlisting.

If you have a discovery call and are waitlisted, you can get a refund of your $50. To stay on the waitlist you will not receive a refund.

A credit will apply for six months and if waitlisted, you will have at least two opportunities to use the credit, even if that surpasses the six months.

  • Finance leaders who make the leap communicate clearly, operate with curiosity and courage, and bring new ideas that push the business forward. They frame financial strategies as enablers of growth, not just guardrails. They balance risk and profit in a way that drives decision-making.

  • A Controller reports what happened. A CFO shapes what should happen. Coaching helps finance professionals bridge that gap and shift from reporting to leading.

  • By showing presence, influence, and a focus on outcomes. A CFO becomes a Business Leader when they frame decisions in terms of growth, customers, and strategy, not just accuracy.

  • It’s rarely about the numbers. It’s about communication, framing, and influence. CFOs who are seen as the “Devil’s Advocate” or always saying no often get tuned out. Compelling CFOs frame insights as opportunities, not roadblocks.

  • Storytelling, customer focus, and growth orientation. Too many finance professionals over-invest in technical expertise and under-invest in the skills that create executive influence.

  • If your technical foundation is strong and you’re ready to step back from doing and start leading, you may be ready. The key sign: you want to be recognized as a peer on the executive team, not just the person who reports the numbers. Coaching helps bridge that gap.

  • Yes. The return on investment goes far beyond your current role. If you self-fund, you may later achieve promotions, higher compensation, or more clarity with less stress. The value is in your career trajectory, not just the sessions themselves.

  • An MBA or executive program provides broad theory and credentials. Coaching is faster, individualized, and focused on application. The two complement each other, but coaching creates immediate impact in your current role.

If you are interested in peer forums, formal education or other programs, we encourage you too do the research and decide what makes sense for you. We can make referrals in some cases too.
